It seems like only yesterday that I was proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ with an oxygen tank strapped around my waist and a nasal cannula inserted in my nostrils. Together, we the faithful lifted our prayers that the Lord would deliver me from the portable oxygen tanks.   Through this faith, He bestowed on me a great blessing.

God in His infinite wisdom, His great love, and amazing grace allowed me to receive a bilateral lung transplant, and there is no further need for supplemental oxygen. Additionally, I have more energy and an even stronger desire to carry out the will of God. During the past three months of healing and rehabilitation, a day has not gone by without giving God the highest praise for the miracle He performed in my life.

I am refreshed, rested, and ready to resume my calling. I will present two lectures during “Family Night Out” on the last two Wednesdays in August. This instruction will survey the Gospel According to Mark. I intend on preaching the Gospel the first Sunday in September.

If there was ever a time for a greater commitment to building the Kingdom, it is now. In this regard, I am looking forward to working alongside a faithful remnant that is willing and ready to serve the Lord in a special way. This is the moment for the faithful saints to rise to new heights. The Spirit of the Living God will empower us to use our gifts and talents to His glory and honor.

Let us continue to pray that the Lord will strengthen us for the work that lies ahead and allow us to move toward greater ministry. Solomon reminds us to, trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. (Prov. 3: 5)
